The EESPIG label is awarded to French private higher education institutions that are committed to student success, and certifies the quality of their teaching and training, their non-profit nature and disinterested management, and their commitment to participating in the public service missions of higher education and research by combining innovative teaching methods, capacity for innovation and adaptation to current socio-economic challenges and changes.
The accredited institutions fulfil 6 public service missions in higher education and research:
- Initial and continuing education,
- Scientific and technological research, dissemination and exploitation of results for the benefit of society and the general public,
- Guidance, social promotion and professional integration of the institution,
- Dissemination of scientific and technical culture and information,
- Participation in the construction of the European Higher Education and Research Area,
- International cooperation through Erasmus programmes or student and teacher exchanges, for example.
